The CowbellWe often use the cowbell to rally the student section, often after scoring. To participate, follow along in the clapping and the chant as follows: Claps ... "LET'S" ... Claps ... "GO" ... Claps ... "Bulls" ... Claps ... "LET'S GO BULLS" Football TailgatingStudents and True Blue members tailgate in the Special Events lot, next to the Flint Apartments. Our tailgates consist of food, live music, games, giveaways, and of course, face and body painting. The GauntletDuring the tailgate, students and fans make their way over to the stadium to greet the football players as they arrive. The students, fans, Marching Band, Cheerleaders and the Dazzlers all line up at the southwest entrance of UB Stadium forming a "gauntlet" and cheer on the players as they exit the busses and enter the locker room. Watch PartiesTrue Blue often gathers at Dave and Busters to watch UB play away games for football and basketball. Keep an eye on this website for announcements regarding such watch parties. Road TripsWe occasionally take road trips to see many of our UB teams play at other schools or at championship games and tournaments. Our entourage can range from a dozen members traveling by van, or to hundreds of members on coach buses. Click here to see where we've traveled to over the years. Fund-raising and Community ServiceTrue Blue maintains committed to going above and beyond when it comes to fund-raising and community service. Each year since True Blue was founded members have come together to help worthy causes such as the American Heart Association by volunteering at the Heart Ball, as well as Breast Cancer support. During the club's inaugural year, True Blue sold pink t-shirts to raise money for the Think Pink campaign which the money raised was donated to Breast Cancer support charities. From the t-shirt sales and donations, True Blue was able to donate over $2,000 to this most worthy cause! |
