When did you join True Blue?
Orientation this past summer.
Why did you join True Blue?
I love attending sports events and at my high school there was not a big fan club for everyone to go and attend games with, so I thought this would be a great way to meet new friends and support the athletes at our school.
What do you enjoy most about True Blue?
True Blue is really a great way to meet new people and it brings a lot of the UB community together which is normally hard to do at such a large school.
What was your Favorite True Blue moment from January?
In early January, I helped True Blue board member Ben Shaw collect money and canned goods for the local food shelter to beat Akron in the annual 'Food Fight'. In just one night we "Stormed the Dorms" and raised over $100 while also collecting almost 20 cans. It was great to see how generous people were to donate their change, a couple of dollars, and extra canned goods to this cause. Just shows how bighearted the students that we attend school with are.
What upcoming True Blue event are you most looking forward to?
I am definitely looking forward to attending more basketball games because I love the sport and our teams have had exciting games thus far! Let's go BULLS!!!
How to Become Fan of the Month
Every month our board of directors have a vote on who we think should win True Blue's "Fan of the Month." The winner is always a non-board member who has shown enormous support and spirit for True Blue. Don't feel like you have to be the loudest fan at the game to become fan of the month, True Blue spirit can be shown in many ways. You can show your spirit by helping out at several of our events throughout the year, coming to our monthly open club meetings, or even just sending email suggestions to help improve True Blue. So Come Out, Get Loud, and Get Involved in True Blue, and become next month's Fan Of The Month.
